How this video downloader works
SaveContentMe is a free online video downloader: you give it a link, it gives you the file. There's no app or browser extension to install and no account to create, and you never log in to the social network itself. Copy the link with the Share button, the same way you'd send a post to a friend, and paste it here. It handles Instagram Reels, posts and carousels, TikTok videos and photo slideshows, YouTube Shorts and regular videos, posts on X (Twitter) and Threads, Pinterest pins and Reddit posts, on a phone or a computer alike.
What you get back: videos as MP4 with sound, and photos as regular image files, usually JPG. The quality is whatever the platform itself serves, with one exception for size: when a file would weigh more than about 50 MB, the downloader picks a lower-resolution version that fits, and very long videos may not download at all. Instagram carousels and TikTok slideshows are split into separate files, one per item. And the golden rule: the link has to point to a specific post, video or photo, not to a profile or a channel.
Only public posts can be downloaded. Private accounts, Instagram Close Friends content and deleted posts are out of reach, because SaveContentMe sees exactly what a stranger who doesn't follow the account would see. Instagram Stories aren't supported on the site either. Files aren't stored: each one passes through the server on its way to you and is then deleted, and there's no download history tied to you. Please respect creators and keep their work for personal use, or ask their permission.
Frequently asked questions
Which sites can I download from?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Threads, Pinterest and Reddit. Each one has its own page here with the details.
Is it really free?
Yes. A short ad plays before the download, and that ad is what keeps SaveContentMe free for you.
Do I need to install an app or sign up?
No. It works in the browser on any phone or computer, with no account and no social media login.
Why won't my video download?
Most often the post is private, deleted or shared with Close Friends only. Very long videos may also be unavailable, and a link to a profile instead of a post won't work.
Do you keep the files I download?
No. Each file passes through the server to you and is then deleted. There's no download history tied to you.
Is there a way to download without ads?
Yes, through Telegram: @SaveContentMeBot downloads from the same sites with no ads at all. Send it a link in a private chat or add it to a group.
Can I repost the videos I download?
Download for personal use or with the author's permission. If you want to post someone else's video, ask them first and credit them.
No ads in Telegram
Send the link to @SaveContentMeBot and it replies with the video right in the chat. Works in groups too.
