Reels and videos are saved as MP4 with sound, photos as JPG. A carousel gets split up: each photo and video in it arrives as a separate file, so the tool doubles as an Instagram photo downloader for recipe cards, travel shots or slides you want to keep. You keep Instagram's original quality as long as the file stays under about 50 MB; a heavier video comes at a lower resolution, and very long ones may not be available. You don't need an Instagram account, and nothing is ever posted on your behalf.
Some things can't be downloaded. Stories aren't supported on the site. Posts from private accounts and Close Friends content are visible only to the people the author chose, and SaveContentMe doesn't sign in to anyone's account, so it can't see them either. A deleted post is gone for good, even if you still have the link. No, Stories aren't supported on the site. Reels, video posts and photos, including carousels, all work.

Why won't a Reel download?
Usually the account is private, the post was deleted, or it was shared with Close Friends only. SaveContentMe can't reach those.
Do Reels keep their sound?
Yes. Reels are saved as MP4 with the original audio, music included.
How do I get a Reel into Photos on iPhone?
Safari puts downloads in the Files app under Downloads. Open the video there, tap Share, then Save Video, and it will appear in Photos.
Why is there an ad before the download?
